Im struggling a bit with the strike though option for discontinued items, ive followed your process to the exact formulas but it does not seem to apply the rule, once completing everything and selecting yes for one of the items, there is no strike though or grey blank out, is there maybe something im missing ? apologies for the trouble. Multi-level Drop-Down List -- I cannot get this to work between the Location, Department, and Manager. I have tried copying and pasting the content above and I have also opened the completed form provided and copied directly from that file to mine and it still won't work. Is there an update or something that I am missing?????
Hello! Thanks for purchasing my course. If you have copied the VBA code correctly, there might be a couple of issues to troubleshoot: 1. Form Field Names: Ensure that the names of your form fields match exactly with what's in the VBA code. Even a small difference in spacing or capitalization can cause issues. For example, "ddLocation1st" should match the name of your first drop-down list form field, and similarly for "ddDepartment2nd" and "ddManager3rd". Check the properties of each form field to confirm their names. 2. VBA Macro Security: Make sure that macros are enabled in your Word document. If macros are disabled, the VBA code won't run. You can enable macros by going to the "Developer" tab, clicking on "Macro Security," and selecting "Enable all macros" or "Enable macros for this session." 3. Check for Errors: In VBA, small syntax errors can cause the code not to run. Check for any red highlighted text or error messages in the VBA editor. Correct any errors and try running the code again. 4. Document Format: Ensure that your document format supports macros and form fields. Saving the document in a format like ".docm" (macro-enabled Word document) can help ensure that the macros are preserved. 5. Testing Step by Step: If you're still encountering issues, try testing each part of the code separately. For example, run PopulateddDepartment2nd() first and make sure it populates the second drop-down list correctly based on the selection in the first drop-down list. Then, test PopulateddManager3rd() to ensure it populates the third drop-down list based on the selection in the second drop-down list. By checking these points, hopefully you can troubleshoot and identify the issue preventing your dependent drop-down lists from working correctly. If you're still facing issues, please let me know. I have watched several videos. I am trying to create this form and I just can't seem to finalize it. I can tab through the document (unprotected) from field to field; however, when I restrict editing to form fields, I can only go so far and then it stops and tells me that the area is protected. I have re-created this form from scratch at least 3 times. Can you help?????? I do not know what I am doing wrong.

I have a template that was made on a Windows machine, and when I open it on Mac, despite having the Developer tap enabled, the controls are invisible until I click on them.
Perhaps it's my relative newness to digging into these sort of topics in Excel or my lack of understanding how Onedrive works, but can you say a little more as to why one has to pause OneDrive auto-synch and turn off auto save to perform this function? Thanks...
